[Termes IGN] pondérationRésumé : (auteur) This paper presents a method for determining and mapping suitable locations for development using Multi Criteria Analysis and the Analytical Hierarchy Process and considering uncertainties in the process. The method is applied to the case study of Howth (Dublin), where development suitability is assessed against specific protection and conservation areas as well as ground water vulnerability. Uncertainty is incorporated using a Monte Carlo simulation into the Analytical Hierarchy Process calculations to determine criteria weightings. A map is derived, which includes, for all locations, both site suitability for development and the level of uncertainty attached to this suitability. The map combines a double categorization of suitability and uncertainty. The method allows for increased transparency in decision making regarding site suitability for development, as well as increased confidence in decision making to allow for reduced risk in terms of the potential impact of development. They are based on the complete description of the variance–covariance matrices of the observation errors and of the coefficient matrix errors without any restriction. The paper reinvestigates the nonlinear measurement model associated with GNSS point positioning. Various simulation experiments indicate that GNSS point positioning is much better formulated as a non-linear WTLS problem with errors in both the coefficient matrix and measurement variables. The efficacy of the proposed algorithms is verified through the numerical results. [Termes IGN] régression logistiqueRésumé : (Auteur) This paper presents a new approach for hyperspectral image classification exploiting spectral-spatial information. Under the maximum a posteriori framework, we propose a supervised classification model which includes a spectral data fidelity term and a spatially adaptive Markov random field (MRF) prior in the hidden field. The data fidelity term adopted in this paper is learned from the sparse multinomial logistic regression (SMLR) classifier, while the spatially adaptive MRF prior is modeled by a spatially adaptive total variation (SpATV) regularization to enforce a spatially smooth classifier. To further improve the classification accuracy, the true labels of training samples are fixed as an additional constraint in the proposed model. Thus, our model takes full advantage of exploiting the spatial and contextual information present in the hyperspectral image. An efficient hyperspectral image classification algorithm, named SMLR-SpATV, is then developed to solve the final proposed model using the alternating direction method of multipliers. Experimental results on real hyperspectral data sets demonstrate that the proposed approach outperforms many state-of-the-art methods in terms of the overall accuracy, average accuracy, and kappa (k) statistic. We start with a thorough definition and shed light on some ambiguity issues in the procedural definition. We investigate the geometry, combinatorics, and topology of faces and the roof model, and we discuss in which cases a weighted straight skeleton is connected. Finally, we show that the weighted straight skeleton of even a simple polygon may be non-planar and may contain cycles, and we discuss under which restrictions on the weights and/or the input polygon the weighted straight skeleton still behaves similar to its unweighted counterpart. In particular, we obtain a non-procedural description and a linear-time construction algorithm for the straight skeleton of strictly convex polygons with arbitrary weights. [Termes IGN] signal GPSRésumé : (Auteur) Observation weighting is an essential component of GPS stochastic modeling and plays a key role in reliable outlier detection and parameter estimation. Nowadays, satellite elevation angle and SNR are used as quality indicators for GPS phase measurements in high-accuracy geodetic applications. In comparison with elevation-dependent models, SNR-based weighting schemes represent the reality better, but usually require greater implementation efforts. Relying upon a representative analysis of empirical SNR-based weights, this paper proposes the elevation-dependent exponential weighting function EXPZ, which benefits from realistic SNR-based weights and enables easy software implementation. To process GPS data from a regional network, this advanced weighting scheme is implemented in the Bernese GPS Software 5.0 and is compared with the conventional elevation-dependent COSZ model in terms of phase ambiguity resolution, troposphere parameter (TRP) estimation, and site coordinate determination. The results show that the proposed EXPZ model significantly attenuates the downweighting effects on low-elevation observations and improves the success rates of ambiguity resolution by about 10%, the standard deviations of site-specific TRPs by about 40%, and the repeatability of daily coordinate estimates by up to 2.3 mm (50%).
