[Termes IGN] processus ponctuel marquéRésumé : (Auteur) In this study, we propose an automatic detection algorithm for cloud/shadow on remote sensing optical images. It is based on physical properties of clouds and shadows, namely for a cloud and its associated shadow: both are connex objects of similar shape and area, and they are related by their relative locations. We show that these properties can be formalized using Markov Random Field (MRF) framework at two levels: one MRF over the pixel graph for connexity modelling, and one MRF over the graph of objects (clouds and shadows) for their relationship modelling. Then, we show that, practically, having performed an image pre-processing step (channel inter-calibration) specific to cloud detection, the local optimization of the proposed MRF models leads to a rather simple image processing algorithm involving only six parameters. Using a 39 image database, performance is shown and discussed, in particular in comparison with the Marked Point Process approach. [Termes IGN] processus ponctuel marquéRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, we present an automatic building extraction method from Digital Elevation Models based on an object approach. First, a rough approximation of the building footprints is realized by a method based on marked point processes: the building footprints are modelled by rectangle layouts. Then, these rectangular footprints are regularized by improving the connection between the neighbouring rectangles and detecting the roof height discontinuities. The obtained building footprints are structured footprints: each element represents a specific part of an urban structure. Results are finally applied to a 3D-city modelling process. [Termes IGN] zone homogèneRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, we show that polarimetric and inter-ferometric SAR (PolInSAR) images can be efficiently partitioned into homogeneous regions with a statistical technique based on minimization of a parameter-free criterion. This technique consists of finding a polygonal partition of the image that minimizes the stochastic complexity, assuming that the image is made of a tessellation of statistically homogeneous regions. The obtained results demonstrate that a global partition in statistically homogeneous regions of PolinSAR images can provide better results than a partition based on a single characteristic such as polarimetry or interferometry only.
