[Termes IGN] restauration d'imageRésumé : (Auteur) In the traditional processing flow of interferometric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technique, the processing of phase is conducted via two separated and successive steps, i.e., phase denoising and phase unwrapping. That is to say, first, wrapped phases without noise are generated, and then, the true phases without 2?-ambiguities are reconstructed (here and in the rest of this paper, true phase refers to the information-induced unwrapped phase without noise). Such separated steps will inevitably bring in extra estimation error because each step has necessary approximations and presumptions which do not always hold. On the contrary, in this paper, we treat phase denoising and unwrapping as a single problem of true phase recovery from observed ones. Following this methodology, an integrated phase denoising and unwrapping algorithm based upon Markov random fields (MRFs) is proposed. Taking a priori knowledge of interferometric phases into account, MRF is used to model the relationship between the elements in the random variable set including both true phases and their observations. After the model is built up, the energy function of this MRF is defined according to the local-independence property inferred from the MRF structure and then minimized to obtain the estimate of the true phase value. In the end of this paper, experiments on simulated and true phase data are conducted, and the comparison with several commonly used unwrapping methods is proposed to verify the efficiency of the proposed MRF algorithm. [Termes IGN] reconstruction d'imageRésumé : (Auteur) This paper presents a new subpixel mapping method based on subpixel attraction-repulsion. The proposed method is formulated as an optimization problem with respect to attraction-repulsion among subpixels and is used to reconstruct a finer spatial resolution image from a lower resolution one. A comprehensive experiment is conducted to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method, by comparing it with the other three existing subpixel mapping methods, i.e., linear optimization, pixel swapping and spatial attraction model methods. In the experiment, both a synthetic image with known fractional abundances and an EO-1 Hyperion hyperspectral image of Shanghai were used to evaluate performances of the subpixel mapping methods. The experimental result shows that by using spatial dependence with attraction between the same types of ground objects and repulsion between different types of these objects, the proposed subpixel mapping method achieves a better performance on subpixel mapping than the other three methods Numéro de notice : A2013-257 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1109/TGRS.2012.2218612 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1109/TGRS.2012.2218612 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=32395

[Termes IGN] reconstruction d'imageRésumé : (Auteur) There is increasing interest in dimensionality reduction through random projections due in part to the emerging paradigm of compressed sensing. It is anticipated that signal acquisition with random projections will decrease signal-sensing costs significantly; moreover, it has been demonstrated that both supervised and unsupervised statistical learning algorithms work reliably within randomly projected subspaces. Capitalizing on this latter development, several class-dependent strategies are proposed for the reconstruction of hyperspectral imagery from random projections. In this approach, each hyperspectral pixel is first classified into one of several pixel groups using either a conventional supervised classifier or an unsupervised clustering algorithm. After the grouping procedure, a suitable reconstruction method, such as compressive projection principal component analysis, is employed independently within each group. Experimental results confirm that such class-dependent reconstruction, which employs statistics pertinent to each class as opposed to the global statistics estimated over the entire data set, results in more accurate reconstructions of hyperspectral pixels from random projections. [Termes IGN] reconstruction d'imageRésumé : (Auteur) Compressive sensing (CS) for urban operations and through-the-wall radar imaging has been shown to be successful in fast data acquisition and moving target localizations. The research in this area thus far has assumed effective removal of wall electromagnetic backscatterings prior to CS application. Wall clutter mitigation can be achieved using full data volume which is, however, in contradiction with the underlying premise of CS. In this paper, we enable joint wall clutter mitigation and CS application using a reduced set of spatial-frequency observations in stepped frequency radar platforms. Specifically, we demonstrate that wall mitigation techniques, such as spatial filtering and subspace projection, can proceed using fewer measurements. We consider both cases of having the same reduced set of frequencies at each of the available antenna locations and also when different frequency measurements are employed at different antenna locations. The latter casts a more challenging problem, as it is not amenable to wall removal using direct implementation of filtering or projection techniques. In this case, we apply CS at each antenna individually to recover the corresponding range profile and estimate the scene response at all frequencies. In applying CS, we use prior knowledge of the wall standoff distance to speed up the convergence of the orthogonal matching pursuit for sparse data reconstruction. Real data are used for validation of the proposed approach. [Termes IGN] reconstruction d'imageRésumé : (Auteur) We consider sparsity-driven change detection (CD) for human motion indication in through-the-wall radar imaging and urban sensing applications. Stationary targets and clutter are removed via CD, which converts a populated scene into a sparse scene of a few human targets moving inside enclosed structures and behind walls. We establish appropriate CD models for various possible human motions, ranging from translational motions to sudden short movements of the limbs, head, and/or torso. These models permit scene reconstruction within the compressive sensing framework. Results based on laboratory experiments show that a sizable reduction in the data volume is achieved using the proposed approach without a degradation in system performance.
