[Termes IGN] reconstruction 3D du bâtiRésumé : (auteur) In this paper, a procedure which computes error-correcting subgraph isomorphisms is proposed in order to be able to take into account some external information. When matching a model graph and a data graph, if the correspondance between vertices of the model graph and some vertices of the data graph are known ’a priori’, the procedure is able to integrate this knowledge in an efficient way. The efficiency of the method is obtained in the first step of the procedure, namely, by the recursive decomposition of the model graph into subgraphs. During this step, these external information are propagated as far as possible thanks to a new procedure which makes the graphs able to share them. Since the data structure is now able to fully integrate the external information, the matching step itself becomes more efficient. The theoretical aspects of this methodology are presented, as well as practical experiments on real images. The procedure is tested in the field of 3-D building reconstruction for cartographic issues, where it allows to match model graphs partially, and then perform full matches. [Termes IGN] transformation de HoughRésumé : (auteur) A National Geographic Agency is a mapmaker and a database producer. The current manual stereoplotting of cartographic objects is time consuming. To reduce this production cost, we are working on problems related to the photogrammetric data capture automation. Based on our experience of road network systems and on our cartographic requirements, we consider road intersection extraction as a specific problem. In this article, the complete architecture of our system is presented in three steps: a specific intersection model description, the interpretation strategy and a decision-making process. We detail the simple intersection and roundabout process and evaluate the system behaviour on a large set of data. © 2000 International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.

[Termes IGN] reconstruction 3D du bâtiRésumé : (auteur) A new method is described for automatically reconstructing a 3D piecewise planar model from multiple images of a scene. The novelty of the approach lies in the use of inter-image homographies to validate and best estimate planar facets, and in the minimal initialization requirements — only a single 3D line with a textured neighbourhood is required to generate a plane hypothesis. The planar facets enable line grouping and also the construction of parts of the wireframe which were missed due to the inevitable shortcomings of feature detection and matching. The method allows a piecewise planar model of a scene to be built completely automatically, with no user intervention at any stage, given only the images and camera projection matrices as input. The robustness and reliability of the method are illustrated on several examples, from both aerial and interior views. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) This paper describes an original approach and strategy for the automatic surface reconstruction of urban areas from digital aerial multiple views (across track as well as along track). The general reconstruction approach is based on a concept of multi-image matching guided from object space which provides the DSM and the corresponding orthoimage at the same time. The general idea is to match all the images at the same time with a multi-image correlation function instead of merging all elementary DSM computed on all stereopairs. This multi-image correlation function has very interesting properties, we can use very small templates (windows) in the image matching process, the correlation scores give a real reliability indicator of the matches and the false matches can be filtered with a deterministic threshold. All discarded areas are filled with a hierarchical matching strategy aiming at building the surface step by step.
