[Termes IGN] teneur verticale totale en électronsRésumé : (auteur) The computation of vertical total electron content (VTEC) maps has become an important issue gradually for the international GNSS service. Given the current literature reports, little research is involved in the quantitative analysis of each error of the VTEC map and the spatiotemporal characteristic of global VTEC accuracy. Based on the single layer model and sphere harmonic function, we propose an approach using simulated GPS data to comprehensively verify the accuracy of the VTEC map. The spatiotemporal characteristic of global VTEC accuracy and the errors induced by different processing steps, i.e., carrier phase to code leveling, mapping function (MF), DCB estimation and coefficient fitting, are analyzed and discussed in detail. In addition, the effect of solar activity on the accuracy of the global VTEC map, MF and DCB estimation has been discussed. The results suggest: First, it is found that the MF error at sunrise is more significant than that at sunset, and this important characteristic can be proven based on the analysis of theory and ionospheric radio occultation and VTEC measurements; second, the MF is the most significant error source in the VTEC processing for regions with dense and homogeneous distributed GPS stations, e.g., North America and Europe. The VTEC accuracy in these regions can be improved by 100% with the satellite elevation cutoff angle increasing from 12° to 30°; finally, compared with the global VTEC accuracy using 350 GPS stations observations, the accuracy is improved by 306% based on the double GPS stations with even distribution. Hence, geocoding a dataset of events has to be carried out before performing a spatial analysis of some data. Automated procedures are necessary to geocode large datasets of events, but they can produce errors. Therefore, it is natural to ask oneself what is the minimum percentage of events that should be geocoded. An 85% of success was established 15 years ago as the first estimate of a minimum acceptable rate, becoming a reference for many spatial analysts. In this paper, the goal is reestimating a minimum acceptable geocoding match rate through the same procedure that was employed for computing the first estimate while accounting for some spatial factors that could possibly influence this estimation: intensity, clustering and aggregation levels. Several statistical techniques and the presence of nonrandomly distributed errors are also explored in this context. The results indicate that variations in intensity, clustering and aggregation levels lead to different minimum acceptable geocoding match rates. Furthermore, specific techniques such as cluster detection seem to be especially sensitive to the existence of non-geocoded data. Therefore, the highly approved 85% geocoding rate may need to be raised. [Termes IGN] surveillance géologiqueRésumé : (Auteur) In order to optimise the selection of landslide monitoring points and save the cost of monitoring, a geological constitutive model was constructed by using 3D laser scanning and geological borehole data to simulate the relationship between rainfall and deformation. Thus, the main occurrence area and maximum deformation of the landslide were determined. Aiming at the deficiency of the single-epoch redundancy of the single-frequency GNSS receiver and the poor accuracy, this paper proposes a single-frequency BDS/GPS combined positioning and monitoring scheme with constraint of deformation features to restrict the search range of single-frequency ambiguity, obviously increase the ambiguity fixed success rate and then improve the BDS/GPS positioning accuracy. By contrast experiments, the landslide area obtained by numerical simulation basically matches with the on-site landslide area. The BDS/GPS combined positioning with constraint is consistent with the deep displacement changes, which can well reflect the displacement of the landslide body and make an early warning of disasters. [Termes IGN] simulationRésumé : (Auteur) Understanding the spatial scale sensitivity of cellular automata is crucial for improving the accuracy of land use change simulation. We propose a framework based on a response surface method to comprehensively explore spatial scale sensitivity of the cellular automata Markov chain (CA-Markov) model, and present a hybrid evaluation model for expressing simulation accuracy that merges the strengths of the Kappa coefficient and of Contagion index. Three Landsat-Thematic Mapper remote sensing images of Wuhan in 1987, 1996, and 2005 were used to extract land use information. The results demonstrate that the spatial scale sensitivity of the CA-Markov model resulting from individual components and their combinations are both worthy of attention. The utility of our proposed hybrid evaluation model and response surface method to investigate the sensitivity has proven to be more accurate than the single Kappa coefficient method and more efficient than traditional methods. The findings also show that the CA-Markov model is more sensitive to neighborhood size than to cell size or neighborhood type considering individual component effects. Particularly, the bilateral and trilateral interactions between neighborhood and cell size result in a more remarkable scale effect than that of a single cell size. [Termes IGN] visualisation 3DRésumé : (auteur) La visualisation est un mode privilégié de l’interaction des utilisateurs avec l’information géographique, et sa représentation efficace est d’autant plus importante que les données sont massives et hétérogènes et que les utilisateurs et les usages sont variés. Au-delà de la visualisation de données 2D sur un écran ou une carte papier, la visualisation de données 3D pose de nouveaux défis et nécessite des outils appropriés : volume des données, multiplicité des formats, stylisation et gestion des parties visibles, modes d’interaction et de navigation ... iTowns est une plateforme technologique de l’IGN qui permet de visualiser des données géographiques 3D via le Web et propose des fonctions d’interaction avancées dans un environnement métrologique. Initialement développé par les laboratoires de recherche de l’IGN comme un outil de visualisation de données images et LiDAR issues de la cartographie mobile (c’est-à-dire acquises au moyen d’un véhicule équipé de capteurs), iTowns a évolué et permet aujourd’hui de naviguer de façon immersive au sein d’un très grand volume de données 3D, et ce dans toute la gamme d’échelles, depuis l’espace jusqu’au sol. Des interfaces sont également disponibles pour la manipulation de ces données. Désormais moteur de visualisation 3D du Géoportail (1), iTowns s’enrichit continuellement de nouvelles fonctionnalités : en sus de la visualisation en 3D du territoire pour le grand public, il permet de développer des applications Web à usage professionnel pour covisualiser différents types de données, les annoter, procéder à des analyses, des mesures ...
