[Termes IGN] International Terrestrial Reference FrameRésumé : [Introduction] Since February 2010, the Institut Géographique National (IGN) has replaced Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) as coordinator of the IGS Reference Frame Working Group. On the operational side, this coordination consists in combining the weekly SINEX solutions provided by the IGS final Analysis Centers (ACs) and updating a long–term cumulative solution each week (Kouba et al., 1998; Ferland and Piraszewski, 2009). The switch from NRCan to IGN was the opportunity to bring some changes to the SINEX combination strategy (Rebischung and Garayt, 2012). But the formats and contents of all products were kept unchanged so as to ensure a smooth transition. Besides a continuous monitoring of the SINEX combination results, the main achievement of the Reference Frame Working Group in 2011 was the publication of IGS08 (Rebischung et al., 2011), a new IGS reference frame based on ITRF2008 (Altamimi et al., 2011). Another specific effort was made to obtain a homogeneous set of weekly solutions based on the IGN combination strategy back to 1994 and to form a new, modernized IGS cumulative solution. Finally, a website that promotes the SINEX combination products has started to be developed and should be made publicly available in 2012. [Termes IGN] niveau de la merRésumé : (auteur) The University of La Rochelle (ULR) TIGA Analysis Center (TAC) completed a new global reprocessed solution spanning 13 years with more than 300 GPS permanent stations, 216 of them being co-located with tide gauges. A state-of-the-art GPS processing strategy was applied, in particular, the station sub-networks used in the daily processing were optimally built. Station vertical velocities were estimated in the ITRF2005 reference frame by stacking the weekly position estimates. Outliers, offsets and discontinuities in time series were carefully examined. Vertical velocities uncertainties were assessed in a realistic way by analysing the type and amplitude of the noise content in the residual position time series. The comparison shows that the velocity uncertainties have been reduced by a factor of 2 with respect to previous ULR solutions. The analysis of this solution and its by-products shows the high geodetic quality achieved in terms of homogeneity, precision and consistency with respect to other top-level geodetic solutions.
