[Vedettes matières IGN] Economie forestièreRésumé : (auteur) Despite well-formulated goals for environmental protection in the forestry sector, the biodiversity crisis remains. Protected habitats are often small, isolated and lack continuity. We studied forest planning at a landscape scale as a method to increase habitat connectivity, and improve conservation values whilst maintaining high levels of forest production. We assessed the financial impacts of landscape planning for the landowners, and present a fee-fund system to solve unequal burdens among them. As case studies, we used three landscapes along a latitudinal gradient in Sweden. The results demonstrate some variation between the landscapes in terms of the total cost for set asides and large differences in terms of the financial impact per landowner. Our conclusion is that forest landscape planning may be a way forward to improve conservation efforts, but given the variation in financial impacts, we propose to combine landscape planning with economic tools for compensation. [Vedettes matières IGN] Traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (auteur) A modified multipath error mitigation method using the multi-point hemispherical grid model (MHGM) is proposed, and the influence of changes in the observation environments of IGS stations on their data quality is evaluated. The multipath error models of different satellite pairs for different observation periods can be established using the integrated multi-GNSS data in the proposed method. The test under deliberate high multipath environment reveals that this method can effectively estimate the GNSS multipath error, detect and present the orientation of the interference sources around the station. The RMS of residuals and the kinematic positioning accuracy on day 237 of 2018 are improved by 68% and 61%, respectively. Compared with the empirical site model (ESM), which can also visualize the effects of the multipath, the RMS of residuals when applying the MHGM is improved by 20%. The test with IGS historical observations shows that MHGM can effectively reflect the influence of changing multipath interference around stations on carrier phase observations, with an average improvement of 25% in the RMS of carrier phase residuals in the extrapolated 9-day validations over the past 18 years. The results of a kinematic positioning experiment in 2019 generally coincide with the RMS statistic results of carrier phase residuals as well. The MHGM demonstrates distinct potential in the influence evaluation of changes for the multipath interference around the stations on their observation quality. [Termes IGN] système international de référence altimétriqueRésumé : (auteur) In 2015, the International Association of Geodesy defined the International Height Reference System (IHRS) as the conventional gravity field-related global height system. The IHRS is a geopotential reference system co-rotating with the Earth. Coordinates of points or objects close to or on the Earth’s surface are given by geopotential numbers C(P) referring to an equipotential surface defined by the conventional value W0 = 62,636,853.4 m2 s−2, and geocentric Cartesian coordinates X referring to the International Terrestrial Reference System (ITRS). Current efforts concentrate on an accurate, consistent, and well-defined realisation of the IHRS to provide an international standard for the precise determination of physical coordinates worldwide. Accordingly, this study focuses on the strategy for the realisation of the IHRS; i.e. the establishment of the International Height Reference Frame (IHRF). Four main aspects are considered: (1) methods for the determination of IHRF physical coordinates; (2) standards and conventions needed to ensure consistency between the definition and the realisation of the reference system; (3) criteria for the IHRF reference network design and station selection; and (4) operational infrastructure to guarantee a reliable and long-term sustainability of the IHRF. A highlight of this work is the evaluation of different approaches for the determination and accuracy assessment of IHRF coordinates based on the existing resources, namely (1) global gravity models of high resolution, (2) precise regional gravity field modelling, and (3) vertical datum unification of the local height systems into the IHRF. After a detailed discussion of the advantages, current limitations, and possibilities of improvement in the coordinate determination using these options, we define a strategy for the establishment of the IHRF including data requirements, a set of minimum standards/conventions for the determination of potential coordinates, a first IHRF reference network configuration, and a proposal to create a component of the International Gravity Field Service (IGFS) dedicated to the maintenance and servicing of the IHRS/IHRF. As the RMS maps are commonly used as the accuracy indicator of GIMs to optimize the stochastic model of precise point positioning algorithms, it is of crucial importance to investigate the reliability of RMS maps involved in GIMs of different Ionospheric Associated Analysis Centers (IAACs) of the International GNSS Service (IGS), i.e., the integrity of GIMs. We indirectly analyzed the reliability of RMS maps by comparing the actual error of the differential STEC (dSTEC) with the RMS of the dSTEC derived from the RMS maps. With this method, the integrity of seven rapid IGS GIMs (UQRG, CORG, JPRG, WHRG, EHRG, EMRG, and IGRG) and six final GIMs (UPCG, CODG, JPLG, WHUG, ESAG and IGSG) was examined under the maximum and minimum solar activity conditions as well as the geomagnetic storm period. The results reveal that the reliability of the RMS maps is significantly different for the GIMs from different IAACs. Among these GIMs, the values in the RMS maps of UQRG are large, which can be used as ionospheric protection level, while the RMS values in EHRG and ESAG are significantly lower than the realistic RMS. The rapid and final GIMs from CODE, JPL and WHU provide quite reasonable RMS maps. The bounding performance of RMS maps can be influenced by the location of the stations, while the influence of solar activity and the geomagnetic storm is not obvious.
