[Termes IGN] réseau routierRésumé : (auteur) For bivariate origin-destination (OD) movement data composed of two types of individual OD movements, a bivariate cluster can be defined as a group of two types of OD movements, at least one of which has a high density. The identification of such bivariate clusters can provide new insights into the spatial interactions between different movement patterns. Because of spatial heterogeneity, the effective detection of inhomogeneous and irregularly shaped bivariate clusters from bivariate OD movement data remains a challenge. To fill this gap, we propose a network-constrained method for clustering two types of individual OD movements on road networks. To adaptively estimate the densities of inhomogeneous OD movements, we first define a new network-constrained density based on the concept of the shared nearest neighbor. A fast Monte Carlo simulation method is then developed to statistically estimate the density threshold for each type of OD movements. Finally, bivariate clusters are constructed using the density-connectivity mechanism. Experiments on simulated datasets demonstrate that the proposed method outperformed three state-of-the-art methods in identifying inhomogeneous and irregularly shaped bivariate clusters. The proposed method was applied to taxi and ride-hailing service datasets in Xiamen. The identified bivariate clusters successfully reveal competition patterns between taxi and ride-hailing services. Despite the widespread application of geographical information systems (GISs) and pedestrian network analysis, studies have yet to analyze children’s comprehensive pedestrian access to urban services in a large-scale city. This study demonstrates GIS-based approaches to measuring children’s pedestrian access to urban services using a pedestrian path layer and the spatial layers of social infrastructure locations in Seoul, South Korea. We show the spatial inequities in children’s access to urban services, which depend on the locational characteristics of social infrastructures and the urban development patterns around children. We analyze how children’s access to social infrastructures is differentiated by land use composition. Our statistical analysis finds that low-rise residential areas, consisting of impermeable street patterns, increase children’s walking distance and restrict children from accessing urban services within their walkable area. In addition, there is potential for key infrastructures such as schools and local community centers to promote pedestrian access to urban services for children. Considering pedestrian access at the street level will help pinpoint vulnerable areas with children who have less access overall and maximize the users served within the service areas of infrastructures. [Termes IGN] utilisateurRésumé : (auteur) The passenger flow prediction of the public metro system is a core and critical part of the intelligent transportation system, and is essential for traffic management, metro planning, and emergency safety measures. Most methods chose the recent segment from historical data as input to predict the future traffic flow; however, this would lead to the loss of the inherent characteristic information of the metro passenger flow’s daily morning and evening peak. Therefore, this study aggregates the recent-term and long-term information and use a long-term Gated Convolutional Neural Network (Gated CNN) to extract the temporal feature from the complex historical data. On the other hand, typical models did not consider the different spatial dependencies between different metro stations; this work proposes various adjacent relationships to characterize the degree of association between nodes. In order to extract spatial and temporal features at the same time, the historical data of recent-term and long-term is merged together to extract spatial features through a multi-graph neural network module. By combining Gated CNN and multi-graph module, we propose a multi-time multi-graph neural network named MTMGNN for metro passenger flow prediction. The result of our experiment on real-world datasets shows that our model MTMGNN is better than all state-of-art methods. However, conventional point-based co-location pattern discovery methods ignore spatial movements between locations and thus may generate erroneous findings when applied to spatial flows. Despite recent advances, there is still a lack of methods for analyzing multivariate flows. To bridge the gap, this paper formulates a novel problem of FCLP discovery and presents an effective detection method based on frequent-pattern mining and spatial statistics. We first define a flow co-location index to quantify the co-location frequency of different features in flow neighborhoods, and then employ a bottom-up method to discover all frequent FCLPs. To further establish the statistical significance of the results, we develop a flow pattern reconstruction method to model the benchmark null hypothesis of independence conditioning on univariate flow characteristics (e.g. flow autocorrelation). Synthetic experiments with predefined FCLPs verify the advantages of our method in terms of correctness over available alternatives. A case study using individual home-work commuting flow data in the Chicago Metropolitan Area demonstrates that residence- or workplace-based co-location patterns tend to overestimate the co-location frequency of people with different occupations and could lead to inconsistent results. Previous works using call detail records (CDRs) tend to focus on modeling the spatial and temporal patterns of human mobility, not paying much attention to the semantics of places, thus failing to model and enhance the understanding of the motivations behind people’s mobility. In this paper, we applied a methodology for identifying individual users’ routine locations and propose an approach for attaching semantic meaning to these locations. Specifically, we used circular sectors that correspond to cellular antennas’ signal areas. In those areas, we found that all contained points of interest (POIs), extracted their most important attributes (opening hours, check-ins, category) and incorporated them into the classification. We conducted experiments with real-world data from Coimbra, Portugal, and the initial experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology to infer activities in the user’s routine areas.
