[Termes IGN] régression géographiquement pondéréeRésumé : (Auteur) An attempt is made to facilitate interpretation of the results of a spatial statistical method - Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) - using a geovisual exploratory approach. The GWR parameter space is treated as a multivariate dataset and explored in a geovisual exploratory environment with the goal to identify spatial and multivariate patterns that describe the spatial variability of the parameters and underlying spatial processes. [Termes IGN] Time-geographyRésumé : (Auteur) Today, the opportunity for potential human activity has gone beyond physical space to virtual space. Based on a proposed conceptual framework that models the relationships between physical and virtual spaces, this paper presents an attempt to adjust the space-time prism concept of Haumlgerstrand's time geography to identify potential activity opportunities in virtual space, focusing on the virtual space access channels available in physical space. A three-dimensional (3D) spatio-temporal Geographic Information System (GIS) design has been developed in this research to accommodate the adjusted space-time prism concept to support the representation, visualization, and analysis of potential human activities and interactions in physical and virtual spaces using the prism representation. Following the design, a prototype system has been successfully implemented in a 3D GIS environment. Such a system can provide powerful analytical tools for studies related to potential human activities and applications such as location-based services (LBS) and accessibility analysis in the information age. [Termes IGN] visualisation dynamiqueRésumé : (Auteur) Over the recent years, spatial data have become more accessible to members of the public, and there is an increased awareness that spatial data are an essential ingredient in the development of governance policies. In parallel, computing devices that can render real-time 3D environments in nearly photo-realistic quality have become a common household item. Integrating spatial data and virtual environments opens the possibility of presenting spatial data in a highly visual way—the same way we experience our everyday world. We have developed a landscape planning tool called SIEVE (Spatial Information and Visualization Environment), which allows users to explore existing spatial data and hypothetical future scenarios in a real-time 3D environment, links to environmental process models outcomes, and also provides a collaborative decision-making environment. SIEVE has an automatic model-building component that allows users to select a region on a 2D map using a web portal and to download automatically generated 3D landscape environments. SIEVE not only models above-ground features but also incorporates underground features. This allows users to see the connection between below- and above-ground processes. Lastly, SIEVE incorporates a multi-user environment that allows users from different locations to gather in the virtual landscapes for exploring and decision-making purposes.
