[Termes IGN] web des donnéesRésumé : (auteur) Geospatial data is an increasingly important information asset for decisionmaking, from simple every day decisions like where to park your car, to national and international policy on topics like infrastructure and environment. Because of the location aspect, geospatial data is often the linking pin between different datasets and therefore important for data integration. A lot of geospatial data is created, for example, as part of governmental processes and nowadays, also disseminated as open data, traditionally through "Spatial data infrastructures" (SDIs). There is a lot of potential for reusing this data in other domains than the domain and use case for which it was originally created. My main research question was: "How to reuse geospatial data, from different, heterogeneous sources, via the web across communities?". Several aspects of data dissemination must be addressed before open data is actually in a good position for getting reused. These aspects have been coined the "FAIR principles": findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability. Note de contenu : 1- Introduction, research questions and methodology

[Termes IGN] orthophotoplan numériqueRésumé : (auteur) The main goal of this paper is to present the automatic pipeline designed at IGN-France to produce automatic large-scale cloud-free orthomosaics from multiple Spot 6/7 and Pléiades-HR satellite images. Our pipeline is composed of three steps: the radiometric harmonisation of satellite images, the automatic production of cloud masks and the stitching procedure. Our evaluation shows that our pipeline is capable to remove all clouds in a given scene and produce seamless orthomosaics. [Vedettes matières IGN] GénéralisationRésumé : (Auteur) OpenStreetMap data comprise of very detailed (e.g. zebra crossing) and quite rough features (e.g. built-up area). But making large scale maps from data with inconsistent level of detail often blurs map comprehension. This paper explores the automatic harmonization of OpenStreetMap data for large scale maps, i.e. the process that transforms rough objects to make them consistent with detailed objects. A typology of the new operators that harmonization requires is presented and six algorithms that implement the operators are described. Experiments with these algorithms raise several research questions about automation, parametrization, or the level of abstraction of the transformation, which are discussed in the paper. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) To achieve a preservation and restoration of ecosystems, public environmental policies at the international level are fostering the implementation of Green Infrastructures, i.e. networks composed of areas where animal and vegetal species can live (habitat patches), and corridors to circulate between them. In France, defining existing habitat patches and corridors was ensured in a distributed manner by the Regions, the first subnational administrative level, with flexible guidelines. It resulted in very heterogeneous data in terms of level of detail, raising the question: “How to map such heterogeneous data at a supra-regional level, making them understandable while respecting the work of Regions, and with a reasonable amount of human work?”. Our study focuses on habitat patches of two adjacent Regions. After making a “rough” map directly from the provided data, we explore three ways for homogenizing the map. The first method consists in generalizing the more detailed data using simple morphologic operators. The second method consists in graphically refining the less detailed data by filling the areas with a pattern taken from the more detailed data. The third method consists in drastically changing the level of abstraction of the data on both regions, while rasterizing the space. Although it would be necessary to test the resulting maps on potential users, we think the third approach is probably the only one usable.
