[Termes IGN] teneur intégrée en vapeur d'eauRésumé : (Auteur) There has been growing interest in recent years in the use of homogeneously reprocessed ground-based GNSS, VLBI, and DORIS measurements for climate applications. Existing datasets are reviewed and the sensitivity of tropospheric estimates to the processing details is discussed. The uncertainty in the derived IWV estimates and linear trends is around 1 kg m−2 RMS and ± 0.3 kg m−2 per decade, respectively. Standardized methods for ZTD outlier detection and IWV conversion are proposed. The homogeneity of final time series is limited however by changes in the stations equipment and environment. Various homogenization algorithms have been evaluated based on a synthetic benchmark dataset. The uncertainty of trends estimated from the homogenized times series is estimated to ±0.5 kg m−2 per decade. Reprocessed GNSS IWV data are analysed along with satellites data, reanalyses and global and regional climate model simulations. A selection of global and regional reprocessed GNSS datasets and ERA-interim reanalysis are made available through the GOP-TropDB tropospheric database and online service. A new tropo SINEX format, providing new features and simplifications, was developed and it is going to be adopted by all the IAG services. During the combination, the station metadata, including station names, DOMES numbers, and position offset definitions were carefully homogenized, position outliers were efficiently eliminated, and the results were cross-checked for any remaining inconsistencies. The results cover the period from March 1999 to January 2017 (GPS week 1000-1933) and include 31 networks with positions and velocities for 3192 stations, well covering Europe. The positions and velocities are expressed in ITRF2014 and ETRF2014 reference frames based on the Minimum Constraint approach using a selected set of ITRF2014 reference stations. The position alignment with the ITRF2014 is at the level of 1.5, 1.2, and 3.2 mm RMS for the East, North, Up components, respectively, while the velocity RMS values are 0.17, 0.14, and 0.38 mm/year for the East, North, and Up components, respectively. The high quality of the combined solution is also reflected by the 1.1, 1.1, and 3.5 mm weighted RMS values for the East, North, and Up components, respectively. [Termes IGN] International Terrestrial Reference FrameRésumé : [Introduction] Since February 2010, the Institut Géographique National (IGN) has replaced Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) as coordinator of the IGS Reference Frame Working Group. On the operational side, this coordination consists in combining the weekly SINEX solutions provided by the IGS final Analysis Centers (ACs) and updating a long–term cumulative solution each week (Kouba et al., 1998; Ferland and Piraszewski, 2009). The switch from NRCan to IGN was the opportunity to bring some changes to the SINEX combination strategy (Rebischung and Garayt, 2012). But the formats and contents of all products were kept unchanged so as to ensure a smooth transition. Besides a continuous monitoring of the SINEX combination results, the main achievement of the Reference Frame Working Group in 2011 was the publication of IGS08 (Rebischung et al., 2011), a new IGS reference frame based on ITRF2008 (Altamimi et al., 2011). Another specific effort was made to obtain a homogeneous set of weekly solutions based on the IGN combination strategy back to 1994 and to form a new, modernized IGS cumulative solution. Finally, a website that promotes the SINEX combination products has started to be developed and should be made publicly available in 2012.
