[Termes IGN] plan cadastralIndex. décimale : 33.30 Photogrammétrie numérique Résumé : (Auteur) Digital data for geographic information systems (GIS) covering large areas can only be acquired fast and with reasonable costs from existing maps. The approaches for the automation of the acquisition often result in a large amount of manual post-processing. In addition they are only suited for maps of low complexity. Therefore the goal of this thesis is the knowledge based automatic extraction of objects from the real world like buildings and roads, ie of "semantic information" from scanned maps. This means: 1- Integration of knowledge about the objects of the real world that are depicted hi the map as well as about their relations, like that roads build up networks, in the interpretation. 2- Representation und use of the knowledge by means of knowledge based methods. Thus the restriction of the existing approaches to the recognition of graphical objects like straight lines, circles, symbols or characters and their assignment to objects from the real world is overcome by additional knowledge and the performance of these approaches is exceeded. The new approach is based on a multi level model. The model comprises the levels binary image of the map, topological vector data, graphical objects and objects from the real world. For each level the contained objects and their relations are described. There also exist relations between the levels. For the application the model is represented using a semantic network. The interpretation is carried out data-driven by searching for objects of the real world as well as model-driven by using the knowledge about the objects of the real world and then- relations to seek and generate new objects. The interpretation therefore flows not only continuously from the binary image to the objects of the real world but also vice versa. The approach has been tested on a part of a Bavarian cadastral map 1 : 1000,showing an urban region and on a rural part of a Bavarian cadastral map 1 : 5000. All parcels and their corresponding numbers have been found in the given parts of the maps. For the first time pavements, roadsides and roads that are not explicitly depicted by symbols in the maps could be recognised in cadastral maps, and road-networks could be constructed. In addition all buildings were recognised in the cadastral map 1 : 1000 and all meadows in the cadastral map 1 : 5000. The results show the applicability of the approach by means of examples. The novelty of the approach lies in the modelling and use of knowledge about the objects of the real world for the automated interpretation of maps. [Termes IGN] reconstruction d'objetIndex. décimale : 33.30 Photogrammétrie numérique Résumé : (Auteur) Digital image matching plays an increasingly important role in digital photogrammetry. The automa-tic identification and determination of homologeous points in two or more images can be performed by the computer. The method of image matching with simultaneous object reconstruction by least squares methods is the most common and comprehensive approach to the problem. Object surfaces are described pointwise by profiles, cuts or digital elevation models. Especially with industrial objects, this description is often unsatisfactory or abstract. It has to be transformed into a more con-venient description, like a CAD surface description or geometric features like distances or diameters, in a secondary step.
The approach in this work enables to match the object surface as a whole in the images and to simultaneously reconstruct its describing parameters. A general formulation of the approach is followed by special solutions for the evaluation of object geometry and object position. The applicability of the approach is demonstrated by measuring reference objects. By the general and comprehensive description of the object and the simultaneous processing of image and object information, the method can be described as a real threedimensional matching process. An evaluation of the approach and an outlook for future investigations conclude the work.Numéro de notice : 28065 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Thèse étrangère Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=63412 Réservation

[Termes IGN] points homologuesIndex. décimale : 33.30 Photogrammétrie numérique Résumé : (Auteur) Aerotriangulation has been a well- established photogrammetric procedure for years. With recent developments in digital photogrammetry, it is possible to automate the selection and transfer of tie points as well as the measurement. This increases the efficiency, accuracy and reliability of aerotriangulation projects. This work is concerned with finding an automated method for accurately measuring the tie points.
Although accurate matching has been the subject of numerous research studies in the fields of photogrammetry and computer vision, its application for measuring tie points in aerotriangulation adds some new aspects that have not been fully addressed previously. Such aspects are, for example, lack of exterior orientation parameters, very high accuracy requirements, matching only one point at each area and consistent matching of more than two overlapping image patches.
The method proposed in this dissertation is based on matching warped image patches, or matching in the object space. The warping procedure requires the knowledge of the object surface around each prospective point. The surface is reconstructed by a hierarchical, iterative approach. Both the surface and the set of orientation parameters of all the photographs in the block are improved throughout the iterative procedure.
Experiments were performed to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method and to study its effects. The results show that where man-made objects exist, matching warped images outperforms the traditional image space matching techniques. The accuracy of the results is comparable to manual measurements even when relatively low resolution images are used.Numéro de notice : 12127 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Monographie Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=54554 Réservation

[Termes IGN] représentation discrèteIndex. décimale : 33.30 Photogrammétrie numérique Résumé : (Auteur) This Doctoral thesis covers two main items: the linear relief filtering with restrictions and the discretization of relief without information loss. The modelling of the relief, which is assumed to be a realization of a two-dimensional normal, homogeneous, and bandlimited stochastic process, is based on the theory of stochastic processes. The adequacy of the model choice and its assumptions has been verified using some natural reliefs of the Earth's surface.
Concerning linear filtering the following quantity and quality restrictions were used: preservation of relief shape, of volume, of terrain inclination and finally, the reduction of relative extremums according to Toepfer's choice rule are expressed in stochastic process terminology. The above conditions are realized by the two-dimensional, non-recursive, digital linear filtering (e.g. for generalization purposes, for relief smoothing using digital data). In order to estimate the required parameters the complete knowledge of second order process quantities (autocovariance function or spectral density) is necessary. Numerical experiments with different relief types stored in digital terrain models (DTM) confirmed the possibility of practical realization of linear filtering with restrictions.
The conventional sampling theorem concerning bandlimited random signals is based on the discretization of the abscissa. In opposite to that, the contour line representation of the relief corresponds to a discretization on the ordinate. Sampling rules according to the ordinate, consistent with the original sampling theorem, are given for both one-dimensional and two-dimensional continuous stochastic processes and additionally for discrete signals (time series). Vertical and horizontal intervals of discretization relate to each other by the correlation coefficients of neighboured signal values for discrete signals or by the second order moment of terrain inclination for continuous processes. An estimation approach for optimum grid cell size of DTM interpolated from topographic maps is proposed. This grid ensures a complete as well as a non-redundant data capture from contour line information. The approach is based on the relation between vertical and horizontal intervals of discretization. The necessary parameter i.e. the variance of terrain inclination is estimated using measured lengths of contour lines at different height levels. The consistence of the discretization rules has been confirmed by numerical experiments.Numéro de notice : 28057 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Thèse étrangère Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=63404 Réservation
